Training and Development
At Optical Express we understand it is our people that make us the business we are. We believe that by investing in our people to help them perform at their best and to reach their full potential so will Optical Express. Your training starts from day one with a detailed induction to the company and industry, this is followed by a structured on the job training programme.
Our retail teams have the opportunity to attend a number of classroom sessions carried out in our regional training centres. You’ll also receive regular training on any new procedures and initiatives as well as new products.
In an industry where change happens at lightning speed, we shape our learning and development programmes to ensure we stay right at the cutting edge. We are launching a new and ‘Training for Excellence Academy’ as well as a new e-learning platform. We have redesigned the Management Development programme and in 2009 launched our Graduate Summer Academy for Optometry students.
Our Optometry Development Managers ensure regular coaching for our Optometrists as well as ongoing CET evenings throughout the year. We work hard to ensure our Pre-Registration students get all the support they need, in fact more than 80% of our students pass first time.
